Best Price on New Toyota
73How to get the best deals on new Toyotas
Learn the inside tricks
To receive the best price on a new Toyota, you could visit each dealer and try to negotiate a lower price. Car salesman are sharp, they are professionals. They know how to beat you at the best price game.
So you need to be prepared, do a little work and give them no way to talk you out of paying the lowest possible price for a new Toyota.
Step #1- Make the dealers compete for your business.
-The best way to do this is to use a website that will give you emailed quotes of each Toyota dealer in your area who will compete receive quotes from other Ford dealers in the area and will give you a price below sticker invoice.
-Best part is this service is free. Here is one example of a website that will shop around for below sticker price quotes on Toyota. Just give your name and email address, and they will give you the best offers within forty-eight hours.
Step #2- Figure out your financing before you buy
-Don't wait until you figure out a final price to handle your financing (even if you have perfect credit). Shopping around for your auto loan is just as important as getting the best deal. Even the difference of a 1/2% over the course of 5 to 6 years can add up to a lot. Check Toyota's website to see if there are any current financing promotions. If so, then know exactly what promotion to ask for when you are buying your car.
-If Toyota doesn't have a special financing offer, then you need to get pre-qualified for financing elsewhere. On average, you will get a better deal outside the dealership than with the car dealer (they get cash kickbacks on loans and don't always give you the best deal). At the very least, you are pre-qualified with another financing company and if the car dealership can beat the vehicle financing offer for a Ford when you are there, then you save even more.
Use this site to have them shop financing companies for the best auto loan rates, you will get several rates from the top car financing companies.
(You can use Car.com for the new Toyota price quotes and the financing, however I have found the other company above gives better offers and requires less information up-front)
Final Step to Get Your Best Price
There are a couple different things you can do now:
-Deal on the phone: This is how I bought my last car. I took the price quotes and checked the dealer's inventory online (most dealers should have this). Found the Toyota dealers that had my model and color. Then I called them, made sure they had the car in stock, and say "I will come in right now to buy that car, but I have another dealer that will give it to me for "Price". If you can give it to me for "Price - ($1,000)", then I am on my way there to buy it." You can try to get them lower than this, it really depends on time of year, how many they have in stock...
-Deal at the dealership: If you go this route, have your better quote in hand and tell them they have to beat it significantly or you will walk. Don't let them just knock off $100. Make sure they lower their quote by at least $500-$1000 or walk (and do it!). They make probably a minimum of $2,000 on each car and will not let you walk off the lot because they will only get to make $1,000 or so on it.
-Good luck!!!
